Our Enrichment Programs:
Girls Achievement Program (G.A.P)
Girls Achievement Program (G.A.P.) collaborates with mentors, girls, and their parents to address barriers to school readiness, enhance school attendance, and provide opportunities to prevent summer learning loss. J5 meets weekly with the girls and organizes quarterly meetings that include both the mentees and their mothers to engage in activities aimed at strengthening their bond.
This program includes weekly mentoring check-ins led by certified teachers and counselors from the students’ schools. This vital component continues throughout the school year, resulting in measurable improvements in the students’ emotional, social, and academic development.
During the summer months, students are encouraged to participate in a “Summer Educational Program” designed to promote academic growth and prevent learning decline. Additionally, students and their parents are required to attend the “Back-to-School Kick-Off” event to receive essential grade-level school supplies or uniforms needed for school preparedness.

Offers a unique opportunity to discover new ways to strengthen the bond between mother and daughter through engaging, uplifting activities designed to nurture social and emotional growth.

Money Matters
Money Matters is a free workshop that offers information on Homeownership, Financial Planning, Credit Repair, and Vocational Training for adult learners and is open to the public. Come out and invest in bettering your future!
Money Matters: Kids Edition is designed to equip our mentees with the skills they need to build a strong financial foundation. Through engaging visual aids and hands-on experiences, participants will learn how to manage money effectively while gaining the confidence to envision themselves as future entrepreneurs.
Money Matters inspires girls to THINK BIG! By encouraging them to create and operate their own businesses and pursue their dreams, we aim to empower them. We provide the knowledge, tools, and practical experience needed to make informed financial decisions, by helping girls achieve their personal goals.
Exclusively available to our mentees, this transformative program is an investment in their future success!
