Suncoast Remake Learning Days

Hey everyone! Calling all families in Sarasota. Get ready for a fun-filled afternoon of art, education, and cultural celebration at the Robert Taylor Community Complex on Saturday, May 4th (10 AM)!

This event is part of Suncoast Remake Learning Days, a 15-day festival with over 280 FREE events focused on learning and community!

Here’s what you can expect:

  • Story Time with “Change Sings” by National Teen Poet Laureate Amanda Gorman!
  • Creative art activities for all ages!
  • Interactive learning experiences!
  • Delicious snacks and giveaways!

This is a fantastic opportunity to celebrate our community, spark your child’s creativity, and explore the joy of learning together!

The event will be held at the outdoor amphitheater at Robert Taylor Community Complex in the historic Newtown neighborhood. It’s a great way to spend a Saturday morning in beautiful Sarasota, FL!

This special event is a collaboration with our amazing partners: The Patterson Foundation, Suncoast Campaign for Grade-Level Reading, R.E.C.E.S.S., Mr. Stevey Meditates, and Rough & Ready Media.

About Suncoast Remake Learning Days

Suncoast Remake Learning Days is an exciting 10-day, free, regional learning festival in Charlotte, DeSoto, Manatee, and Sarasota counties. This multi-venue open house will celebrate the joy of adults and children learning side by side.

Suncoast Remake Learning Days, presented by the Suncoast Campaign for Grade-Level Reading with support from The Patterson Foundation, will consist of more than 200 events over 10 days hosted by organizations, including schools, museums, libraries, after-school organizations, early child care centers, universities, media outlets, and more.

All events are free and designed to be hands-on, relevant, and engaging educational experiences for youth of all ages (PreK through high school) and their families, caregivers, and educators. Suncoast Remake Learning Days gives us the opportunity to spark learning innovation. This festival is a fun and creative way to establish and affirm parents and families as learning allies.

Learning events are grouped by the following themes: Arts, Maker Spaces, Outdoor Learning, Science, Technology, and Youth Voice. There are also Professional Development opportunities for parents and educators.
